Training Eligibility
If you need to use the M-Pathways system, the U-M Data
Warehouse, or the Development/Alumni Constituency system to perform
your job, you are eligible to attend training classes, which MAIS
coordinates. Users whose access request has been authorized and approved within the Online Access Request System (OARS) will be registered for classes.
Occasionally, individuals may need training but not access. Some
examples are: supervisors of users, RIF (reduction in force) staff,
and other staff who want to learn M-Pathways to enhance their eligibility
when applying for other U-M positions. These individuals may register
for training classes if the Unit Liaison for their unit submits
an e-mail request to mais.training.registration@umich.edu
including:
- the person's name
- uniqname
- e-mail address
- phone number
- fax number
- the names of the classes for which the person is eligible to
register
- the statement 'ACCESS IS NOT REQUESTED' at the close of the
message
- unit liaison's name
- unit liaison's unit
Users who require access are given first priority when they register
for instructor-led training classes. Individuals who do not require
access should contact Training Registration (734-936-7000) to register
for an instructor-led class two or three days before the date of
the class session they want to attend. Refer to the class
schedule for instructor-led session times and dates.
MAIS maintains a training
history for all users. If you apply for access at some time
after taking a class, you will not need to retake the class when
your access request is processed.
