M-Pathways Student Administration System

The M-Pathways Student Administration System consists of the following six highly integrated modules, which provide information to and rely on information from one another:

These Student Administration System modules share information with modules in other M-Pathways systems, such as the Campus Community module, which stores all personal information for students, faculty, and staff, such as name, address, and U-M identification number (U-M ID or EmplID). Values used in the Student Administration System are available in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets,

A key benefit of the Student Administration System is that it provides a single source for information, eliminating the effort of maintaining and coordinating individual databases within different departments. The system shares the information contained in the integrated database across the administrative and academic units on the Ann Arbor campus.

Student Administration (SA) advisory groups ensure that the strategic and tactical plans of MAIS Student Administration align with U-M's mission, goals, and administrative needs.

Within MAIS, the Student Administration System is supported by the Student Administration System Division.

Financials Training and Access

MAIS coordinates training to support the Financials processes through instructor-led courses and eLearning courses in MAIS LINC.

How to Request Access describes how users can request access to the data they need to do their work.

U-M Policies Safeguard Data

Michigan Administrative Information Services (MAIS), along with the University's central administration, has initiated policies, which ensure that those who have access to administrative data understand their obligation to use the data responsibly and that confidential information is available only to those who need it for specific reporting purposes.
