BusinessObjects Upgrade: Macintosh Workstation Requirements
BusinessObjects on a Macintosh is supported by the vendor. BusinessObjects XI 3.1 is compatible with both Macintosh OS X.4 (Tiger) and OS X.5 (Leopard). Below you will find information about browser and Java plug-in compatibility.

Safari Information
Business Objects supports Safari 3.0.x.
Firefox Information
Business Objects supports Firefox 2.0.x and 3.0.x.
Java Plug-in Information (Web Intelligence Modify mode only)
BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Web Intelligence Modify mode (WebI) requires a Java plug-in.
- Business Objects supports Java plug-in version 1.4.2.x.
- If you don't have a Java plug-in already, it will be downloaded the first time you run BusinessObjects XI 3.1.
- The standard load should have in the Java preferences: J2SE 1.4.2 32-bit; and J2SE 5.0 32-bit and should be listed in that order.
- If you also have Java SE 6 64-bit you may have a problem where you are only able to modify one report per browser session. If this is the case make sure you also have the 32-bit and they are listed in this order: J2SE 1.4.2 32-bit; J2SE 5.0 32-bit; Java SE 6 64-bit; J2SE 5.0 64-bit.
