Douglas Hovey, a BusinessObjects expert user, created a macro for Excel that makes it easy to paste a list of values or create grouped values in BusinessObjects. The macro, called the Delimiter, enables you to select a range of numbers within Excel (such as Project Grants,Vendor IDs, or EmplIDs), and copy the whole list into a query filter or prompt. By default, the Delimiter separates the values with semicolons, which is what BusinessObjects requires.
The macro can also create formulas for custom groupings of values in BusinessObjects, using If Then Else logic.
