BusinessObjects WebI Licensing and U-M Data Warehouse Access
A BusinessObjects Web Intelligence (WebI) license must be assigned to anyone who uses WebI to run, edit, and/or create reports. There are two levels of WebI access: limited and full.
- Limited-access WebI users can run, print, save, share, and format reports.
- Full-access WebI users have access to all limited-access functions. In addition, they can create new reports and modify a report’s underlying queries.
There is no charge to departments for the initial cost of the software or for maintenance fees. The license covers all employees: regular, temp faculty, contractors, etc. It does not cover students unless the student is employed by the University.

To request access to the U-M Data Warehouse, use the Online Access Request System (OARS).
