IT Rationalization targets new funding and service delivery model

IT Rationalization is a university-wide initiative to determine the best source of information technology services and to reduce non-productive redundancy in IT solutions across campus. (Get the facts)

First steps: Unit Assessment Project

The university is conducting a comprehensive assessment of information technology. For the first time, IT as it is currently distributed and provided at the unit and campus level will be evaluated.

Accenture will conduct operational and financial inventory of each unit’s IT environment

Accenture will meet with unit staff and apply an assessment methodology that will result in an operational and financial inventory of each unit's current IT environment. The inventory will include:

  • Applications
  • Desktop/personal computing environment
  • Hardware
  • Infrastructure
  • Networks
