eResearch Proposal Management (eRPM) is Live

eRPM Released to campus on March 30

“We particularly like being able
to see exactly where the
proposal is. In the current
paper system, there is a lot of
follow-up via phone or e-mail
to find out when a proposal
will be signed and returned.”

Michelle Hall
Manager of research administration
School of Social Work

Research administrators and investigators can create, review, and approve proposals from anywhere via the Web.

New system has many benefits
Facilitates approval process

  • Determines people and departments that need to review proposals based on Proposal Approval Form (PAF)
  • Tracks approval route

Promotes collaboration
Allows document attachment and storage

  • Enables Principle Investigators and Research Administrators to easily view all of the information related to the project/proposal

Phased roll-out in progress

The largest units on campus are already using eRPM. Others have scheduled their own start date. All of campus will be using eRPM by the end of Summer 2009. (Schedule for units to start using eRPM)

Thank you!

The successful pilot is due to  the hard work and  collaboration of:

  • Principle Investigators & Research Administrators from 30 units across all 3 campuses
  • Staff from the Office of the Vice President for Research Division of Research Development and Administration
  • eResearch Proposal Management Team
