ITS Iterative Design & Development Framework

The ITS Iterative Design & Development Framework results in frequent deliveries of small amounts of scope over short time frames as opposed to large releases of scope at the end of a long development process.

There are three key goals for favoring an Iterative Approach.

  1. Delivering the most business value fast

  2. Focusing on delivering the most business value first

  3. Get working solutions to customers and users sooner

The Iterative Approach is dfferent than the traditional waterfall method of software development.

In the waterfall method, each stage is completed prior to moving on to the next, with a release only occurring at the end of a long period of work.

In an iterative approach, work is broken into smaller chunks and completed iteratively, allowing small bits of scope to be released more frequently.

At ITS, our framework includes activities, techniques and tools covering the core software development phases: Planning | Monitor & Control | Requirements | Development | Quality Assurance | Releases
