Charge
The Student Records, Curriculum, & Academic Advising Advisory Group provides a forum for schools and colleges to have input into the processes of Academic Advising, Academic Honors, Academic Milestones, Academic Standing and Dismissal, Course Setup, Class and Room Scheduling, Degree Audit, Enrollment, Grading, Graduation, Student Group Tracking, Transfer Credit and Unofficial Transcript Production.
Membership
The University Registrar chairs the Student Records, Curriculum, & Academic Advising

Members have knowledge of SRCAA processes and must be empowered to represent their school's
or college's position on priorities and best practices. Members of this advisory group both
collect information from and share information with their school or college.
Representation from each school is encouraged. If your school or college is without
representation, please send an e-mail to Paul Robinson (probins@umich.edu)
naming your representative.
Goals
To help promote and ensure the effective administration and implementation
of student records, curriculum, and academic advising at the University
of Michigan by:
- Providing a forum for open dialog on overall student records, curriculum,
and academic advising processes.
- Seeking input from and representing the needs of student records,
curriculum, and academic advising stakeholders throughout the University
community.
- Identifying potential areas of improvement in the overall student
records, curriculum, and academic advising process.
- Reviewing the impact of policy issues on business processes.
- Providing input to and making recommendations regarding system-related
enhancements.
- Providing input to and making recommendations regarding manual process
enhancements.
- Sharing best practices within the group and with other student records,
curriculum, and academic advising stakeholders throughout the University
community.
- Communicating the group's activities and discussions with other
stakeholders throughout the University community.
Meetings
The Student Records, Curriculum, & Academic Advising Advisory Group
meets once a month.
- An e-mail group of the members of this Advisory Group has been created
for contact purposes.
- An agenda is distributed prior to each meeting using the email group.
- Minutes of each meeting are kept. The minutes may be shared with
the Student Unit Liaisons and/or posted on the MAIS Web site.
