Advisors on Information Management Strategy (AIMS)

Advisors on Information Management Strategy (AIMS) is a University-wide group of administrative data users partnering with ITS to develop a strategic direction for leveraging administrative information at U-M. AIMS supports using enterprise systems and data to: provide information for improved strategic decision-making, monitor operational performance, and strengthen financial and operational controls.

Recommendations made in the Advisors of Information Management Strategy (AIMS) Strategic Plan led to the establishment of the BI Council as part of an effort to foster a Business Intelligence Competency Community. The Council represents users at every level which access all types of administrative information with a focus on providing management information to deans, directors, and executive officers.
