Month-End Close
Month-end close refers to the date that:
- Financial activity (e.g., transaction processing, journals, etc.) concludes for an accounting period.
- Reporting environments (e.g., FINODS, U-M Data Warehouse, and M-Reports) will be updated with the latest financial data for an accounting period. These environments are refreshed overnight and available the following day.
Month-end close occurs on the fourth (4th) business day of the subsequent month, except for June. June activity closes later in July due to additional fiscal year-end processes.
