Which scanner should I purchase for my operations?
The centralized imaging system supports many different scanners that are suitable for imaging normal business documents. This guide was created to give you an idea of the scanners and options that might be considered if you plan to do your own scanning or need to replace an existing scanner.
What are the system requirements to run ImageNow 5.4x and WebNow 3.4x?
This document outlines the system requirements and other technical specifications needed to run ImageNow 5.4x and WebNow 3.4x.
Most users should refer to the section titled "WebNow 3.4x Client". Computers running WebNow will need to have Java 1.5x installed on the desktop.
Users whose workstations have the ImageNow "fat client" installed on the desktop (primarily scanning/linking workstations) should refer to the section titled "ImageNow 5.4x Client."
Which browsers are supported by WebNow 3.4.1?
WebNow can run on any operating system running a platform-compatible browser that supports Java 1.5x. Examples of browsers supported by WebNow are Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and later; Netscape Navigator 6.2 and later (Netscape currently does not support Java 1.4x or higher running on a MacIntosh operating system); and Apple Safari Web browser 1.2.3x with Java 1.4.2 update 5. A high-speed Internet connection is recommended. To run Java 1.4x or higher, the Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (DRE) is required.
Which CaptureNow 5.4 product should I buy?
Each scanning workstation requires a valid CaptureNow license and all necessary hardware (e.g. scanner, SCSI cards, etc.). This document presents the options, as well as the licensing cost for the CaptureNow 5.4 products.
Note: workstations running CaptureNow ISIS Levels 1 - 3 do not require Kofax software.
How do I get the Java plug-in for my Windows computer?
A Java 1.5x plug-in must be installed on computers used to access WebNow. If you have administrative rights on your computer, the Java plug-in will automatically install the first time you log into WebNow on Wolverine Access. If you don't have administrative rights on your computer, you will see a blank screen the first time you log into WebNow. Your desktop support staff will have to download Java for Windows computers.

Hardware profile worksheet
This worksheet will help you capture relevant hardware profile information in case you need to reinstall CaptureNow software, install new scanners, etc. Go into Settings --> Options --> Scanning Profile. Click the Properties tab and write down the settings on the worksheet under "scanner properties." Click the Option tab and write down the settings on the worksheet under "source properties."
