Installing Citrix on a Macintosh Computer

On This Page:

Removing Existing Citrix Files

Important: To recognize the new version of the Citrix ICA client, you must first remove the previous version of the Macintosh Citrix ICA client folders from your computer. To manually remove the existing client:

  1. Drag the M-Pathways desktop alias to the Trashcan.
  2. Remove older versions of Citrix ICA Client folders located on the hard drive and system preference folder to the Trashcan.
  3. Empty the Trashcan and reboot the computer before performing the installation steps.

Saving the Citrix Installation File and Installing Citrix Client Software

Follow the instructions in the document Installing Citrix Macintosh Client v.10 to download the Citrix client software and install it on your Macintosh computer.

Download the v.10.00.603 client:

Note: The default save location will be your desktop or your browser's default download directory.

Starting a Citrix Session

Double-click the M-Pathways icon on your dock.

Note: Follow the rules for Citrix passwords that MAIS has established.

Using Citrix to Access Web-Based Resources

Macintosh OS X users can log in to Citrix to access many Web-based systems and resources. The Citrix-based browser performs better for Macintosh OS X users than direct access to Wolverine Access and M-Pathways pages via a desktop Web browser.

Note: Macintosh OS X users must use Citrix to access My LINC.
