FERPA provides UM students with certain rights regarding their educational records. Students have the right to:
Inspect and review their educational records.
Seek to amend those educational records.
Retain some control over the disclosure of information contained in their education records. For example, students can exercise the right to have certain data (e.g., address) not published in the UM Directory.
